In partnership with Jim Boucher, Ben Wilson founded Wilson + Boucher Capital Management in early 2005. Prior to this collaboration, Ben was a senior portfolio manager at a wealth management firm in San Francisco, where he served on that firm’s investment policy committee. Ben earned a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Davis and his M.A. in resource economics from Colorado State University. He is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner™, (CFP ®).
An avid mountain biker and skier, Ben spends his free time with his family and his dog exploring the trails of Marin and the Sierras.

Prior to co-founding the firm, Jim was a senior portfolio manager at a wealth management firm in San Francisco with Ben. Jim was chair of the firm's investment policy committee. Jim also worked at Wells Fargo Bank as finance manager for its Private Banking Group. He received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and his M.B.A. and M.P.A. degrees from California State University, Hayward.
Jim has published numerous articles on investment topics such as analyzing treasury yields, insurance company due diligence and client investment suitability standards. He is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner™ (CFP ®). Jim lives in the East Bay with his wife and has three grown children. He enjoys biking and hiking and travelling in his free time.
